IT Specialist
Rapier IT Specialists must understand the complexities associated with data center operations and infrastructure management. Selected personnel ensure that computing systems are fully protected and functioning properly. In addition, Specialists backup computer hardrives, implement disaster recovery plans, and ensure all work complies with installation standards.
Minimum requirements include:
- Five years of experience in the technology industry.
- Thorough knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
- Applicable experience and/or education in computer science or mechanical / electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
- The ability to perform complex tasks and troubleshooting.
- Certifications in data center disciplines (e.g., CDCM, DCEE, CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CDOM, DCDE, or DCDV).
- Strong knowledge of data center design techniques, Includes strong understanding of component design, methodologies and techniques.
- 2+ years experience in data center facility management, business continuity and disaster recovery.
- 2+ years experience producing capacity planning reports, various other facility management reports (proficient at Visio or Cad).
- Experience with audit regulations on facility management of data center.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting level business requirements and creating solution architectures.
