Telecommunication Specialist
Military Fort Gordon
Computer Specialist Job Description:
Must knowledge and experience to install
cabling at our government customer location
and troubleshoot LAN, Campus, WAN, and
telephone issues with connecting network
devices
Must have:
• Have a Secret Clearance
• Past Military Experience preferred
but not required
• Work independently or as part of a
team performing various tasks such as
pulling, terminating and testing copper and
fiber cable, installing cable tray and
various other types of cable support
hardware
• Proficient in the use of hand tools,
including various punch tools, and test
equipment
• Proficient in the use of various
types of copper and fiber cable and
termination hardware as well as termination
and testing procedures used on a day to day
basis
• Has working knowledge of EIA/TIA
requirements such as distance limitations
and pin configurations
• Capable of reading blueprints and
cut-sheets as well as generating test
reports
• The ability of performing cross
connects
Must have:
• Professional appearance
• Outstanding customer skills
• Flawless dependability
• Above average computer skills
(e-mail, Excel, etc.)
• Good written and oral communication
skills
